According to the Daily Mail, Adele is ‘in the early stages of discussions’ for the film, which would explore Dusty’s experiences during her period of re-invention in the late 1960s.
A studio executive told the tabloid: “There’s a project – and it’s true Adele is attached – but it’s in an early stage of development.”
The paper adds that screenwriter David Stenn, who works on the HBO drama Boardwalk Empire, is set to pen the script.
If the project is green lit it could commence shooting late next year or sometime in 2015.
A spokesperson for Grammy-winner Adele had ‘no comment’ on the report.
The 25-year-old star is reportedly currently in the studio working on her third album.
