The Pot calling The Kettle BLACK: Cleavage-baring Katy Perry blasts female pop stars for getting naked...!
KATY PERRY made a name for herself squirting whipped cream out of her bras and stripping off to lie in clouds made of candy floss.
But the singer has now decided that the ladies of pop need to start putting their clothes back ON.
In the same weekend that Lady Gaga completely stripped off for a performance at London's G-A-Y nightclub, Katy spoke out against the trend of getting your bits out for the camera.
The hottie, who once posed topless for Esquire, refused to single out any particular offenders, said: "I'm not talking about anyone in particular. I'm talking about all of them. I mean, it's like everybody's so naked. It's like, 'Put it away. We know you've got it. I got it, too'."
The 29-year-old recently starred in her video for 'Roar' flaunting her boobylicious cleavage wearing a Tarzan-themed leaf bra.
But she declared that even she shouldn't be using her curves to get ahead all the time.
The singer, who is dating lothario John Mayer, said: "I'm just saying sometimes it's nice to play that card, but also it's nice to play other cards. And I know I have that sexy card in my deck, but I don't always have to use that card."
While she didn't say any saucy popstars' names, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to assume that several body confident ladies sparked Katy's rant.
Twerkaholic Miley Cyrus regularly shows off her slim physique both on stage and on photo shoots, and even went topless for a sleazy Terry Richardson shoot.
And Ke$ha has started to embrace her sexuality by posing with her bum out on her Instagram.
Even Katy's BFF Rihanna is known for her racy pics, regularly posted to her social media accounts.
But Katy's not the only gal to lay into the naked brigade. Parks and Recreation babe Rashida Jones was even more direct with her tirade, posting a tweet reading: "This week's celeb news takeaway: she who comes closest to showing the actual inside of her vagina is most popular. #stopactinglikewhores."
Rashida rarely gets her kit off for promotional purposes– but let's see if Katy starts wrapping up in winter woollies and knee-length skirts on her album covers.
