One of the most encouraging thing about new years, new weeks and new day is the word 'new'..the word new to us all means we get to start all over again..we all collectively get a ''do-over'' another chance to do it right..in this spirit most of us must have done new years resolution as january ist is a place to begin making some changes in life. Now this resolutions are easy to make but sometimes hard to keep which is why so many are hesitant to make a new start. You mean well, you intend to change but somehow life overtakes you and your new found determination lasts about a week then its back to the usual. There is a biblical perspective we need to remember in the begining of a new year..its a perspective thats wrapped up in one simple word..if you remember not to use this word or possibly take this word off your vocabulary, your chances of accomplishing your set goals will be Definite.
The word is Cant.
For it destroys motivation, it shifts responsibilities, it denies Reality etc
When you say you cant, especially with reference to the problems of life- you are simply giving up, resigning your commission and admitting defeat..who knows one further step could have been it!
I firmly believe that this year you can do all God intends for you to do..no matter how hard, no matter how impossible it may seem...You definitely CAN!
May this Year Bring forth all our Heart desires.
