Ten Dead in South Korea Building Collapse

Ten people were killed and more than 100 injured after an auditorium collapsed on college students in South Korea late Monday.
The accident occurred when the roof of the building caved in while more than 500 freshmen were gathered at the building in the Manua Ocean Resort in Gyeongju, 370 kilometers southeast of Seoul, ministry of security and public administration officials said.

The state anti-disaster agency said early Tuesday the building collapse left a total of 10 people dead and 103 injured.

"It seems there will be no additional deaths from the site as rescue work has been almost completed," one agency official said, adding rescue workers and firefighters had rescued survivors and recovered bodies trapped under the building wreckage overnight.
