What was Kate Gosselin after in Steve Neild’s room?

Kate Gosselin has been rumored to be dating her former bodyguard, Steve Neild, for years. Although both have denied a romantic relationship in the past, In Touch has discovered some new developments.


The divorced mother of eight has brought Steve along for her turn on Celebrity Apprentice. When In Touch called Steve’s room at the Trump International Hotel (where the cast is put up) on the evening of March 30 — it was Kate who answered the phone!

This wouldn’t be the first time Kate and Steve — who’s been married for 20 years and has two grown sons — have shared a hotel room. Kate’s ex, Jon Gosselin, tells In Touch, “Steve and Kate would have one room and the kids would have a separate room when they traveled. It’s confusing to the children.”

Steve was hired by TLC in 2008 to protect the Gosselin twins and sextuplets. Even though the family no longer stars on a reality show, he has been in the picture ever since. “It’s not a work situation,” claims Jon. “I have always thought they were together.”

The cast and crew are buzzing about Kate and her silver haired confidant’s intensely close relationship. “He goes everywhere with her but the boardroom,” a production insider says to In Touch in the new issue on stands now. “No one else has a bodyguard or assistant with them.”
