Not only did she attain fame and power, money also rolled in…deals upon deals worth millions of naira and dollars now rest in her bank accounts. No one needs tell you she’s arrived.
But…she’s been deep into some controversy stemming from either hear-say, reality or people’s experiences with her.
Many say she’s as proud and arrogant as a peacock, that she has that air around her. Is it true- have you had personal experiences with her ? Or are you just acting on hear-says?
Well, I’ve had some personal experiences with her too which made me think she MAY be proud.
Yes, fans love her so much and would love to go close to her maybe for pictures or a brief chat at functions but…have you gone closer to her enough as to get a snapshot or to simply chat her up and to tell her how much you adore her? Tell me.
Meeting her at events, she wears that slight when-money-is-too-much smile that makes her get misunderstood, no fan picture, no fan chat, she strictly stays glued to her clique that’s if there were any of them present there. You may term it pride but it might just be being cautions, modest, disciplined and minding her own business. So what’s hard to comprehend in that?
Back to one of my major experiences with her. During Funke Akindele’s wedding with Kehinde Oloyede some years back, Miss Genny was also there but, not alone.
She came in the company of her tall and hefty looking bouncer who guarded her back like flies running after honey. And there was Genny looking like David before Goliath so you can imagine that kind of scenario. Tell me, how could you move close to her for a picture or a fan chat? You dared not! Her scary bouncer was ready to move anything moveable!
If I felt like that as a media person then, imagine how her fans who were present at same occasion would have felt when they couldn’t seize such rare opportunity to get close to their idol. Or maybe I’m the one over-rating her actions sha.
So words have surely got to her about how people feel about her, seeing her as a proud woman. Then, she steps out to clear the air when she took to her instagram to say it’s not what people think.
According to her, she isn’t proud. Genny wants you to know that what you think as her being proud is just her way of minding her own business!
