Mary Wilson’ queenly home

Mary Wilson lives in a Las Vegas home built for a queen — or in her case, a Supreme! The founding member of the biggest girl group of the ’60s exclusively opens up her Las Vegas home to Closer Weekly in the new issue on stands now.

Mary’s favorite part of her home? Her gigantic walk-in closet designed so she can escape to “a glamorous room with all my gowns and hairpieces.” The wide-open loft is complete with a dressing room and walk-in closets to accommodate her gowns, shoes and wigs. “I hang out in my closet,” Mary tells Closer in her exclusive interview. “It’s more than 17 feet long!”

Inside, Mary has a few gowns displayed, including dresses from her days as a Supreme. “I don’t even wear half of my gowns. But they’re gorgeous to look at! I have 50 in a [traveling] exhibit [Come See About Me: The Mary Wilson Supremes Collection] and lots more!”

Years after her success, Mary still has famous fans fawning over her and the success of the Supremes. At the LA premiere of the filmDreamgirls, Beyoncé told Mary, “If it wasn’t for you and The Supremes, Destiny’s Child wouldn’t have had the success that we’ve had.” And Mary tells Closer that she recently met up with Bon Jovi’s Richie Sambora this year. “He was extremely charming,” she tells the mag. “And said he was going to write a song for me!”-CLOSER WEEKLY
